2018-2019 Snow and Trail Reports

January 31st:

Its cold! Riding is great across northern Wisconsin but conditions are chilly! In Clam Lake riding conditions are excellent, Bud Rubeck with the Clam lake Chamber of Commerce details the riding in and around the Clam Lake area.

January 24th:

The snow dance worked. Great snow this week and cold weather on the way will keep trails in great riding condition. Steve Bollig, president of the Namekogen Trail Riders, goes over the network of trails throughout the Cable, WI region.

January 17th:

Back to Iron County. Rita Franzoi with the Hurley Chamber of Commerce discusses trail conditions in and around Northern Iron County. Quick preview, things look great in Iron County for riding.

January 10th:

  • North to Port Wing! Still in need of snow and good cold weather but hey are riding the forest in and around Port Wing. John Moyer goes over where to ride and what to watch out for in the Port Wing area.

December 27th:

  • We are staying in Iron County! Northern Iron County still has plenty of snow and trails are FAIR to GOOD. Outside of Iron County Trails are still closed throughout much of Northern Wisconsin. Going deeper into trail conditions is Rita Franzoi with the Hurley Chamber of Commerce.

December 13th:

  • Still looking for snow. Trails are closed through much of the area except for Iron County.  We travel between Mercer and Hurley and stretch into Ironwood and we also check on Ashland, Bayfield, and Iron Counties and detail which trails are open and being groomed.
